Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who participated in the all-party meeting on the Pahalgam terror attack on Thursday, April 24, stated that the Opposition fully supports the government in taking any necessary steps in response to the tragic incident that claimed 26 lives.
“We have uniformly condemned this act, and the opposition gave its full support to the government to take any action,” he told reporters. The Congress leader will visit Srinagar tomorrow, April 25, to make a courtesy visit to enquire health of the injured at GMC Anantnag.
An all-party meet was convened by the Centre in the Parliament to discuss the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. It was presided over Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge were present in the meeting.
Congress party chief Kharge said, “We all condemned the terror attack. We raised our concern to bring peace in Kashmir and said that we all need to make efforts for that.”
