Israeli actor Gal Gadot's Hollywood Walk of Fame marred by pro-Palestinian protests
Hollywood actress Gal Gadot on March 18 was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a significant milestone in her career. However, the celebratory event was overshadowed by protests, as pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli demonstrators clashed nearby, reflecting the ongoing tensions surrounding the Gaza conflict. Dozens of protesters gathered as the ceremony was nearing its end.
Despite efforts to block visibility with a tent around the venue, the protests disrupted the event. Protesters chanted slogans such as “Up up with liberation, down down with occupation” and “Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel’s crime.”

The situation escalated when a pro-Palestinian protester grabbed an Israeli flag and attempted to flee, prompting police intervention. Authorities acted swiftly to prevent the situation from escalating further.
Despite the disruptions, the Walk of Fame ceremony continued as Hollywood stars gathered to celebrate Gadot’s accomplishments. Hosted by Steve Nissen, the event saw the presence of filmmaker Patty Jenkins, actor Vin Diesel, and Israeli actress Shira Haas.
The actress received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with her four daughters – Alma, 13, Maya, 8, Daniella, 3, and Ori, 13 months – by her side as she posed for photos. During her speech, Gadot offered a heartfelt shout-out to her daughters and her husband, Jaron Varsano.

She also acknowledged the impact of her career, particularly thanking Vin Diesel for giving her her break in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise, which marked her first-ever movie role.

While the protests highlighted the deep divisions over the ongoing conflict, Gadot’s career continues to thrive. She is set to star as the Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of ‘Snow White’, alongside Rachel Zegler in the titular role. The highly anticipated film is scheduled for release on March 21.
