Garima Saikia Garg, along with her family and members of the Roi Roi Binale team, attended the emotional screening of her late husband Zubeen Garg’s final film at Kelvin Cinema in Fancy Bazar, Guwahati. The special show turned into a heartfelt tribute to the iconic singer, composer, and filmmaker. Among those present were IPS Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Jayanta Borah, and Jatin Borah, who joined fans and well-wishers in honouring Zubeen’s legacy.

Speaking to the media, Garima shared her emotions with courage and grace. “People have shown immense love and support for this movie. It was his dream project. It’s a mix of emotions for me… If he could have seen this film himself, I would have been even happier. It took a lot of courage to watch it,” she said, her voice heavy with emotion.

Earlier, the first screening of Roi Roi Binale began at 4:25 a.m. at Matrix Cinema Hall, Beltola — an unconventional time that perfectly captured Zubeen’s unorthodox spirit. Even before sunrise, hundreds of fans gathered outside theatres, holding posters and scarves in his memory. Directed, composed, and envisioned by Zubeen Garg, the film now stands as his final gift to Assamese cinema — a timeless reflection of his creativity, passion, and love for Assam and its people.
