Riyan Parag took the blame on himself after Rajasthan Royals (RR) stuttered at the finishing line against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match No.36 of IPL 2025 on Saturday, April 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Chasing 181, the Royals made a brilliant start courtesy of an 85-run partnership for the opening wicket between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
“Really hard to process all the emotions. Don’t know what we did wrong. We were in the game till the 18th or 19th over. I don’t know. I blame myself. I should have finished that game in the 19th over. We have to put up a game collectively,” Parag said after the match.
“The last over was unfortunate. I thought we would have stopped them to 165-170. We gave 20 runs too many, but we should have chased it down,” Parag added.
