West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday, November 25, intensified her criticism of the BJP, accusing the party of influencing the central election commission ahead of the upcoming SIR process. She cautioned authorities against removing any legitimate voter from the electoral rolls, stressing that such actions would not be tolerated.
Referring to the BJP’s campaign in Bihar, Mamata alleged that voters there failed to recognize what she described as the party’s political “game.” She asserted that Bengal would not allow similar tactics to go unnoticed, emphasizing that people in the state were far more alert and politically aware.
Issuing a sharp warning, Mamata declared that any attempt by the BJP to target her or the people of Bengal would provoke a nationwide response. She said she would consider any attack on her supporters a personal affront and vowed to travel across the country after the elections to “shake the entire nation” if pushed.
