Imran Khan's sister was allowed to meet the jailed ex-PM even as his supporters and party workers threatened to organise mass protests across Rawalpindi on Tuesday, December 2.

Imran Khan’s sister, Uzma Khan, was allowed to meet the jailed former Pakistani Prime Minister in Adiala Jail amid widespread rumours and protests. The visit came as party members of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) threatened to organise mass demonstrations in Rawalpindi following speculations that Khan had been murdered in custody.

Reports initially suggested that the jail authorities permitted the meeting under strict conditions. However, Uzma Khan denied any restrictions, stating, “We don’t go by conditions,” as she entered the heavily guarded prison complex. Tensions had been mounting after the PTI leader’s family was reportedly denied access for several weeks, despite court orders.

Meanwhile, PTI supporters called for large-scale protests in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to demand the restoration of visitation rights. Authorities, anticipating unrest, deployed heavy security and restricted gatherings, turning parts of Rawalpindi into a fortified zone ahead of the demonstrations.
