India has extended its restriction on Pakistani aircraft entering Indian airspace until August 23, citing ongoing strategic and security considerations. The Ministry of Civil Aviation issued a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to formalize the extension.
Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol confirmed the update on social media, stating: “The NOTAM restricting Pakistani aircraft from Indian airspace has been officially extended until August 23, 2025. This reflects continued strategic considerations and aligns with prevailing security protocols.”
The previous NOTAM was set to expire on July 24. It had already been extended once before, on June 24, for a month. The original airspace restriction was introduced on May 1 and was initially valid until May 23.
