Nielsen, a company specializing in audience measurement, aims to enhance its technological capabilities in India by significantly increasing its engineering workforce.

This initiative comes in response to the challenges posed by major technology firms consolidating data and the diverse platforms available for content consumption.

In the last year, the company in India has hired approximately 2,500 individuals, which includes 2,000 engineers focused on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), data intelligence, and data analytics.

This figure represents around 57 percent of Nielsen’s total workforce of 3,500 engineers in India. Additionally, India serves as the largest hub after the New York headquarters, which employs 5,000 out of a total of 13,000 personnel.
