The Union Cabinet reviewed NHM's progress, noting significant advancements in maternal and child health, disease elimination, and healthcare infrastructure

The Union Cabinet conducted a review regarding the advancements made under the National Health Mission (NHM) over the past three years. It was reported that India has made substantial progress towards fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is positioned to achieve its health objectives well in advance of the 2030 deadline.

The NHM has played a significant role in enhancing public health outcomes in India by tirelessly working to expand human resources, tackle pressing health challenges, and promote a coordinated approach to health emergencies, as reported to the Cabinet.

In the past three years, the NHM has made significant advancements across various sectors, such as maternal and child health, disease eradication, and healthcare infrastructure, according to an official statement.
