India’s manufacturing sector is undergoing a major transformation, driven by large-scale infrastructure development and supportive government policies, according to a new report by Cushman & Wakefield titled Elevating India’s Manufacturing Resilience: Charting the Path to Self-Reliance.

Based on a survey of 94 senior industry leaders—including CEOs, plant heads, and supply chain managers—the report reflects strong optimism across the manufacturing and logistics sectors.

Significantly, 88% of respondents indicated plans to expand operations, citing major infrastructure initiatives such as Bharatmala, Sagarmala, Dedicated Freight Corridors, and the National Industrial Corridor Development. Additionally, 95% reported improved logistics access, while 94% of large enterprises identified infrastructure upgrades as key to their growth strategies.
