Apple has achieved a remarkable milestone in India

Apple is projected to generate $11bn in revenue from iPhone sales this year, up from $9bn last year.

The surge is expected to be driven by the newly launched iPhone 16e, an upgrade to Apple’s economic models like the iPhone Se and iPhone 14. Priced Rs 20,000 lower than the iPhone 16, the 16e aims to capture emerging markets like India.

According to analysts at market research firm International Data Corp. (IDC), Apple sold around 12 million units of iPhone in India last year. This number is significantly lower than Vivo and Samsung, but the iPhone’s selling price is nearly thrice than the industry average. This makes Apple the highest-earning smartphone brand in India.
