Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s official Toyota Fortuner has been flagged seven times for traffic violations since January 2024, according to data from the city’s Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS). Six violations were for not wearing a seat belt in the front seat, while another was for speeding on the elevated expressway near Kempegowda International Airport in July.

Officials confirmed that the total fines of ₹2,500 have already been paid. The issue surfaced after a social media user recently shared details of the CM’s vehicle and its recorded violations online, drawing public attention.

The revelations come at a time when the state government recently announced a 50% rebate on pending traffic fines. The scheme led to the settlement of lakhs of cases and recovery of penalties worth several crores across Karnataka.
