Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra tied the knot with former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Pinaki Misra, confirming their marriage on Thursday evening, June 5.
Moitra shared the news on the social media platform X, posting a photo of the couple cutting a wedding cake and thanking well-wishers for their support and blessings. “Thank you everyone for the love and good wishes!! So grateful,” she wrote on X.
In the shared image, Moitra was seen wearing a pink Banarasi silk saree featuring intricate gold zari work. She completed her traditional ensemble with gold jewelry, including a choker necklace, jhumkas, and a maang tikka. Her look was styled with subtle makeup and a sleek, center-parted hairstyle.
Pinaki Misra complemented her appearance with a light peach Nehru jacket worn over a traditional kurta, presenting a refined and graceful look for the occasion.
The couple had previously been seen in a candid photograph that went viral online, where the two were seen holding hands and smiling. Moitra, 50, and Misra, 65, have now officially confirmed their relationship with the announcement.
