This is the first public confirmation from within the Jaish-e-Mohammad regarding the fate of Masood Azhar's family after India hit the terror outfit's headquarters in Bahwalpur.

India’s Operation Sindoor has dealt a significant blow to Jaish-e-Mohammad, with the terror group for the first time admitting casualties within the family of its chief, Masood Azhar. In a video that has since gone viral, senior Jaish commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, flanked by security personnel, openly acknowledged the damage inflicted by the Indian strike on the group’s stronghold in Bahawalpur.

Kashmiri stated that Azhar’s family had been “torn into pieces” in the May 7 attack targeting Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah, Jaish’s headquarters in Bahawalpur. This rare admission highlights the scale of India’s operation and the personal losses suffered by the terror outfit’s leadership.

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 25 tourists. In addition to the strike on Bahawalpur, Indian forces destroyed eight other terror installations deep inside Pakistan, marking one of India’s most daring cross-border operations to date.
