Plenty of speculations have been swirling around Chennai Super Kings star MS Dhoni announcing his retirement after the IPL 2025 match against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 4, at the Chepauk.
Numerous social media users have reported that the legendary cricketer’s parents are at the venue, leading to speculation that Dhoni may consider this an appropriate moment to announce his retirement.
The 43-year-old’s role in the Super Kings has come under massive scrutiny after failing to get the five-time champions over the line in the final two games.
His entry point during the 50-run defeat to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chepauk especially attracted plenty of criticism as the former captain strode into the crease after their side’s chances of winning had significantly reduced.
