Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Friday, August 29, announced the launch of a new subsidiary, Reliance Intelligence, at the company’s 48th Annual General Meeting. The unit will spearhead the conglomerate’s artificial intelligence (AI) ambitions and position India as a global hub for AI innovation.
Reliance Intelligence will focus on building AI-ready green data centres, forging partnerships with global tech leaders, delivering affordable AI services across sectors, and developing world-class AI talent in the country.
Ambani also unveiled strategic alliances with Google and Meta. Google will set up a dedicated AI cloud region in Jamnagar, powered entirely by renewable energy, while Meta will collaborate with Reliance to develop sovereign, enterprise-ready AI platforms using its open-source tools, including LLaMA.
The AGM further outlined plans for the Jio IPO in 2026, along with continued investments in green energy, telecom, and retail. Ambani said Reliance is committed to “democratizing AI” and driving inclusive digital growth in India.
