A Spanish athlete, Alex Roca who may not have been widely known until recently has gone viral on social media after completing a marathon. Roca is the first person in history with 76 per cent disability finishing marathon. 

Roca, has had cerebral palsy since a young age and he communicates by sign language. 

He finished the Barcelona Marathon of 42.195km’ in 5 hours, 50 minutes and 51 seconds. 

Roca had earlier finished 5 triathlons, 1 aquatlon, 5 half marathons, the Titan Desert in 2019 and the Pilgrim Race in 2018.
