India Extends Deadline To Link Voter ID With Aadhaar Card To March 31, 2024

In a major development, the central government has extended the deadline to link your Aadhaar Card with Voter Id Card.  

According to reports, people can now complete the process of linking Aadhaar with Voter Id for another year as the new deadline is March 31, 2024.  Before this, the deadline was set at April 1, 2023 and since it was getting closer, the government was also sending repeated reminders to everyone to do the needful. 

The Election Commission of India (ECI) clarified that the main purpose of motivating people to link their Aadhaar numbers with their Voter IDs was to establish the identity of electors and authenticate entries in the electoral rolls.
