The ICC on Tuesday, June 27, announced the final schedule of the 2023 edition of the ODI World Cup, with India’s marquee clash vs arch rivals Pakistan being scheduled for October 15 in Ahmedabad. This time 10 different cities will host the matches across India. This match is expected to be one of the most-watched in the tournament, considering the legendary rivalry between the two teams. The Wankhede stadium in Mumbai and the Eden gardens in Kolkata will host the two semi-finals, with the final scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad. India are two-time champions of the ODI World Cup and reached the final of the 2003 edition in South Africa, where they lost to Australia. India have also finished as the semi-finalists four times, with the last two coming in 2015 and 2019 in Australia and England respectively.
