Shipping Ministry Ranked Second In Data Governance Quality Index Among 66 Ministries

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has achieved a remarkable feat, securing the second position.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has achieved a remarkable feat, securing the second position among 66 ministries in the Data Governance Quality Index (DGQI) assessment for the third quarter of FY2022-23. 

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “This is a remarkable feat for the wonderful performance in executing projects and working towards achieving the ultimate vision of our PM Narendra Modi to make India an Atmanirbhar Bharat by 2047.”

“The effort of DMEO, Niti Aayog, to bring out such a report card of the Ministries / Departments is highly appreciable. It will immensely help improve the implementation framework of government policies, schemes, and programs to achieve the desired goals”, he further added.

MoPSW secured a score of 4.0 out of 5 to secure the second spot in this survey conducted by Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), NITI Ayog.
