Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin on Saturday, May 24, hit back at allegations from the Opposition over Chief Minister MK Stalin’s participation in the upcoming NITI Aayog meeting, asserting that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leadership is not afraid of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or PM Narendra Modi.

Speaking to reporters, Udhayanidhi said the Chief Minister’s decision to attend the meeting in New Delhi was driven solely by the interest of securing rightful financial allocations for the people of Tamil Nadu.

“He has gone there to seek the necessary funds for the state. As usual, the opposition is politicising the matter,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.

His comments came in response to All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader Edappadi K Palaniswami, who criticised the DMK government for boycotting the NITI Aayog meetings over the past three years.
