Omar Abdullah condemned the blast, asserting that no faith can ever justify the brutal killing of innocent people.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned the recent blast in Delhi, urging people not to generalize or stigmatize an entire community based on the actions of a few.

Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Abdullah said that it was wrong to associate every Kashmiri or Muslim with terrorism. “We must remember one thing – not every resident of Jammu and Kashmir is a terrorist or associated with terrorists. When we look at every Kashmiri Muslim with suspicion and label them as terrorists, it becomes difficult to keep people on the right path,” he said.

His remarks came in the wake of the blast near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, which killed at least 13 people and injured several others.

Abdullah condemned the attack, calling it an inhuman act that no religion could justify. However, he also stressed that those found guilty must face strict punishment. “Anyone involved in such incidents should be dealt with severely, but we cannot allow the innocent to be branded or harassed,” he added.

The NIA and Delhi Police have launched a joint investigation into the explosion. Abdullah also raised concerns about possible security lapses leading up to the incident.
