Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, August 15, praised the Indian Armed Forces for their role in Operation Sindoor during his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort. He said India’s soldiers struck the enemies in a manner they could never have imagined.
The Prime Minister commended the forces for establishing a “new normal” following the offensive on the night of May 7–8, when terror launchpads in PoK and Pakistan were destroyed.
“I salute our bravehearts who carried out Operation Sindoor. Our soldiers punished enemies beyond their imagination. The terrorists carried out bloodshed, so we punished them. India was furious after Pahalgam,” he said, addressing the nation from the ramparts of the historic fort.
