Panic swept across parts of Delhi on Friday, July 18, after more than 20 schools received bomb threat emails, prompting large-scale emergency responses. In West Delhi’s Paschim Vihar, authorities were alerted after a threatening email claimed the presence of an explosive device at a local school. Similar threats were reported at other institutions, sparking concern among parents, students, and staff.
Among the schools affected was Abhinav Public School in Rohini Sector 3, which received a bomb threat early in the day. Delhi Police and bomb disposal squads quickly arrived at the location and initiated a thorough search operation. In a separate case, Richmondd Global School, also located in Paschim Vihar, received a similar threat. The Delhi Fire Service and law enforcement agencies are actively investigating all reported cases.
Sovereign School in Rohini Sector 24 was also targeted, receiving a bomb threat call in the morning, adding to the day’s escalating tension. Multiple schools being threatened within hours raised alarms across the city, with safety protocols swiftly activated. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the emails and verify the credibility of each threat.
