Pakistan attacked four key IAF stations causing limited damage

Following a night of sustained aggression by Pakistan, the Indian government has confirmed that four Indian Air Force (IAF) stations – Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj—sustained limited damage from enemy strikes. In swift retaliation, the Indian Armed Forces launched precision strikes on six key Pakistani air bases: Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunia.

During a special briefing, Colonel Sophia Qureshi revealed that Pakistan had attempted coordinated attacks on 26 strategic Indian locations overnight. These included airbases and transport hubs, with a high-speed missile launched at an airbase in Punjab around 1:40 AM. Reports also confirmed strikes on civilian areas near Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur, where medical centres and school facilities were affected.

Colonel Qureshi noted Pakistan’s continued use of drones, fighter jets, and long-range artillery along the western front. Despite the provocation, she said, India exercised restraint, retaliating only against “pre-identified military targets.” Among these were radar installations at Pasrur and the Sialkot aviation base, neutralized using precision-guided munitions deployed from IAF fighter aircraft.

Reaffirming India’s preparedness, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the media, stating, “The Indian Armed Forces remain in a high state of operational readiness. All hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded to proportionately.”

Colonel Sophia Qureshi, addressing the media, categorically dismissed Pakistan’s claims about severe damage to Indian military assets. “Allegations regarding the destruction of the Indian S-400 air defense system, the obliteration of Sirsa and Suratgarh airfields, the NagrotaBrahMos missile base, artillery positions, and ammunition depots are entirely false and fabricated,” she said. To counter these claims, the Indian government released time-stamped images of the purportedly targeted airbases, clearly showing no damage.

Backing the military’s position, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri described Pakistan’s behavior as “provocative and escalatory.” He specifically condemned the shelling in Rajouri earlier in the day, which resulted in the tragic death of Additional District Development Commissioner Raj Kumar Thapa and several civilian casualties.

“Pakistan’s statements are saturated with lies, misinformation, and propaganda,” Misri said firmly. “India has responded with restraint, responsibility, and proportional force to these repeated provocations.”
