Advertising guru Piyush Pandey passed away on October 24, 2025.

Advertising legend Piyush Pandey passed away on Friday, October 24, at the age of 70. The man behind iconic campaigns for Fevicol, Cadbury, and Asian Paints had been battling an infection. His last rites are scheduled for Saturday.

Pandey had a career spanning nearly four decades in the advertising industry. He served as the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide and Executive Chairman India at Ogilvy, shaping some of India’s most memorable ad campaigns.

He joined Ogilvy in 1982 and wrote his first advertisement for Sunlight Detergent. After six years, he moved into the company’s creative department, creating landmark campaigns for brands such as Fevicol, Cadbury, Asian Paints, Luna Moped, Fortune Oil, and many others, leaving an indelible mark on Indian advertising.
