Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, November 21, began a three-day visit to South Africa to attend the first-ever G20 Summit hosted on the African continent. During his stay in Johannesburg, he will also participate in the sixth India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Leaders’ Meeting, which is set to take place on the sidelines of the main summit.
Ahead of his departure, PM Modi said he would present India’s vision shaped by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family—and the theme of One Earth, One Family, One Future. He emphasised that India’s perspective at the summit would reflect these guiding principles.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Prime Minister will be in Johannesburg from November 21 to 23 to attend the 20th G20 Leaders’ Summit, hosted by the Republic of South Africa. His engagements will focus on strengthening global cooperation and deepening India’s partnerships with participating nations.
