Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the RJD of attempting to mislead Bihar’s youth into lawlessness, asserting that the NDA is instead equipping them with education, technology, and opportunities for progress.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during an election rally in Sitamarhi, saying the opposition alliance was trying to mislead Bihar’s youth while the NDA government was focused on development and empowerment.

Speaking ahead of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Modi accused the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan of promoting a culture of violence and lawlessness. “They want to make their own children chief ministers and MPs, while pushing your children toward hooliganism,” the Prime Minister said, calling on voters to reject what he termed a ‘katta sarkar‘ – a government of guns and fear.

Referring to a viral video of a child at an RJD rally speaking about guns, Modi said it reflected the mindset of the opposition. “They want to give your children pistols instead of laptops, revolvers instead of sports kits,” he said. “Bihar today needs innovators and startup founders, not those who raise their hands to say ‘hands up’.”

Modi contrasted what he called the “Jungle Raj” of the past with the NDA’s “development-oriented governance,” highlighting initiatives in technology, education, and employment. “There is no place for a government of guns in modern Bihar,” he added. “People are saying loudly – nahi chahiye katta sarkar, fir ek baar NDA sarkar.”

The Prime Minister also cited high voter participation in the first phase of the Assembly polls, saying the enthusiasm reflected support for the NDA’s double-engine government model at the Centre and in the state.

The second phase of polling for 122 constituencies is scheduled for November 11, with results to be declared on November 26.
