Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the ceremonial flag atop the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya on November 25, marking a major milestone in the temple’s completion.
According to the temple trust’s treasurer, Govind Dev Giri, the flag-pole has been equipped with a 360-degree rotating mechanism designed to withstand winds of up to 60 km/h, underscoring the detailed preparation for the event.
The ceremony is seen as the final structural milestone before the temple complex opens fully for devotees and pilgrims. Renovation and construction works at the site, managed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, are nearing completion, with various mandapas, spires and surrounding precincts already in place.
Organisers say the event will carry significant religious, cultural and architectural symbolism, re-emphasising the temple’s prominence in the region and beyond.
