The Summit aims to highlight North East Region as a land of opportunity and attract global and domestic investment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Rising North East Investors Summit on Friday, May 23, at 10:30 AM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The two-day summit, taking place on May 23 and 24, aims to position the North East Region (NER) as a vibrant hub for investment and innovation, bringing together policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and international partners.

The summit follows a series of pre-event activities, including roadshows and state-specific roundtable discussions. Highlights among these were the Ambassador’s Meet and the Bilateral Chambers Meet, organized in collaboration with central ministries and governments of the North Eastern states. These efforts were geared toward building momentum and encouraging meaningful dialogue ahead of the main event.

Over the course of the summit, attendees can expect ministerial sessions, Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, as well as a dedicated exhibition zone. The exhibitions will feature investment-focused initiatives by central ministries and state governments, and provide a platform for emerging startups to showcase their innovations and growth potential.

Key sectors targeted for investment promotion include Tourism and Hospitality, Agro-Food Processing and allied industries, Textiles, Handloom and Handicrafts, Healthcare, Education and Skill Development, IT and IT-enabled Services, Infrastructure and Logistics, Energy, and Entertainment and Sports.
