Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has announced a financial compensation of Rs 25 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025, during the team’s IPL victory parade.
The initiative comes under the franchise’s newly launched social responsibility program, “RCB Cares.”
In a statement, the franchise said: “We lost eleven members of the RCB family that day. No support can ever fill the void, but this gesture is our promise of compassion, unity, and continued care.”
The announcement comes nearly three months after the incident, amid rising criticism over the delay in response. Earlier, RCB had pledged Rs 10 lakh per family and medical assistance for the injured.
The Karnataka government had also increased its compensation from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh per victim shortly after the tragedy.
RCB assured fans that this was not just a one-time measure but part of a long-term commitment to honor the memory of the victims through meaningful action.
