Energy management and automation major Schneider Electric announced plans to open three more manufacturing plants in India

Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management and automation, announced its intention to establish three additional manufacturing facilities in India.

During the opening session of Elecrama 2025, CEO Olivier Blum highlighted the company’s commitment to making consistent investments in the Indian market.

The company presently operates 31 manufacturing facilities across the nation. According to him, three additional plants will be established in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar, as stated during the event hosted by the industry association IEEMA in Greater Noida.

Blum stated that “India’s emphasis on digitalization, sustainability, energy transition, and infrastructure modernization offers exceptional growth opportunities.” He further explained, “We are utilizing AI and digital technologies to drive growth within the Indian energy sector. We are confident that innovative solutions such as digital grids, IoT-enabled distributed energy resources, microgrids, smart buildings, and smart cities will lead to a 75% reduction in emissions over the next 25 years.”

Schneider has declared plans to invest Rs 3,200 crore to enhance its industrial presence in India, with an aim to increase its operational area by approximately 1.2 million square feet by 2026.
