Seven members of a family lost their lives after a massive landslide struck Baddar village in Mahore area of Reasi district in Jammu & Kashmir

Seven members of a family were killed on Saturday, August 30, after their house collapsed in a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Badder village, Mahore area of Reasi district.

The victims included Nazir Ahmad, his wife Wazira Begum, and their five young sons. Rescue teams later recovered all seven bodies from the debris.

In a separate incident, a cloudburst struck Ramban’s Rajgarh area, causing flash floods that killed at least four people, including two brothers, and damaged houses and a school. Search and rescue operations are underway for missing persons.

Authorities have issued alerts across vulnerable hilly regions as Jammu and Kashmir reels under continuous monsoon-triggered disasters.
