Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday, April 23, issued a stern message to the terrorists and orchestrators of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, vowing that India would identify and bring to justice everyone who conspired against it.
The attack, which took place on Tuesday (April 22), saw terrorists open fire on a group of tourists visiting the Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam in Anantnag district, killing 26 people, including two foreigners, and injuring several others.
The victims, according to reports and witness accounts, were targeted based on their religious identity by terrorists, who were operatives of The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistani terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
“We will not only reach out to those who have perpetrated this incident. We will also reach out to those who, sitting behind the scenes, have conspired to commit such nefarious acts on the soil of India,” the Defence Minister said while speaking at an event in New Delhi.
