The Indian Army on Thursday, August 28, foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gurez sector of Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir, killing two terrorists. The operation underscored the continued vigilance of security forces in preventing cross-border infiltration attempts.
The encounter took place near Naushehra Naar, where troops spotted a group of infiltrators trying to cross into Indian territory. In the ensuing exchange of fire, two terrorists were neutralized before they could advance further.
Following the gunfight, the Army launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to ensure no other infiltrators were present and to secure the region against further threats.
