India’s 14-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has shattered records by scoring the fastest-known century in youth ODI history. Playing against England U19 in the fourth ODI at New Road, Worcester, Suryavanshi reached his hundred in just 52 balls and went on to score a blistering 143 off 78 deliveries.
The youngster, who impressed in the IPL with Rajasthan Royals, has been in superb form throughout the series. After two 40-plus scores and a quickfire 86 off 31 balls in earlier matches, his latest knock stands out as a defining moment in youth cricket.
Coming in as an opener after skipper Ayush Mhatre fell early, Suryavanshi took charge and dominated the English bowlers with ease. His fearless batting has not only helped India take control of the series but also marked him as a future star in the making.
