Weeks after the tragic deaths of several children in Madhya Pradesh, allegedly linked to the consumption of adulterated cough syrup, the World Health Organization (WHO) has flagged three such syrups in India. The agency has urged authorities worldwide to report immediately if any of these products are found in their countries.

Among the identified syrups is the infamous Coldrif, which recently sparked widespread outrage following the deaths. The WHO’s warning highlights the potential dangers posed by these contaminated medicines.

The global health body has specifically identified affected batches of Coldrif from Sresan Pharmaceuticals, Respifresh TR from Rednex Pharmaceuticals, and ReLife from Shape Pharma. Authorities have been advised to take strict action to prevent further harm.
