Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj expressed frustration on Wednesday over the delay of his Air India Express flight from Guwahati to Hyderabad. Taking to X, he said that his flight IX 2884, scheduled to depart at 7:25 pm, was delayed by four hours without any proper explanation or communication from the airline. Siraj described the experience as “really frustrating” and said he felt stranded due to the lack of updates.
He further criticized the airline, calling it “the worst airline experience” and warned passengers against choosing the flight if the airline could not take responsibility for delays. Siraj’s post highlighted the difficulties passengers face when basic communication and service standards are not met.
Responding to the cricketer’s complaint, Air India Express apologised for the inconvenience caused. The airline confirmed that the flight had been cancelled due to unforeseen operational reasons and assured that their team was actively assisting all affected passengers, including Siraj.
The airline also expressed understanding of the situation’s difficulty and said they appreciated his patience. They promised to provide updates and continue offering support to ensure proper arrangements for the stranded passengers.
