Roi Roi Binale, the dream project of late singer and filmmaker Zubeen Garg, made a remarkable debut at the box office, collecting Rs 2.52 crore on its opening day. The film’s team issued an official statement on Friday, emphasising that this movie was Zubeen’s lifelong aspiration to place Assamese cinema on the global map. They expressed gratitude for the massive audience turnout, saying that the overwhelming support has helped carry forward Zubeen’s vision.
However, the team also voiced concern over the circulation of false and misleading box office figures on various media platforms. They clarified that reports claiming different earnings are incorrect and baseless. The statement stressed that this is not the time to focus on numbers or indulge in daily financial comparisons. Instead, they noted that the true success of the film lies in the love and emotional connection shown by the audience, which cannot be measured in monetary terms.
Officially confirming the Rs 2.52 crore first-day collection, the team requested that no daily box office analysis be done during this sensitive time. They assured that the complete financial details will be released one month after the film’s release. Additionally, they urged viewers to support the film by watching it in theatres and to stand united against piracy, honouring Zubeen Garg’s legacy and artistic dream.
