Roi Roi Binale (Tears Still Flow), the last film of legendary singer-composer Zubeen Garg—who tragically passed away in Singapore last month—opened to an overwhelming response across Assam on Friday, October 31, 2025. The first screening began as early as 4:25 a.m. at a multiplex in Guwahati, with fans queuing up before dawn to watch their beloved star on the big screen one final time.
The film witnessed packed theatres in every major city across Assam, along with a nationwide release. Tickets for all shows in the coming week have already sold out, as the musical drama is poised to shatter previous box office records in Assamese cinema. To meet the massive demand, many halls have scheduled up to seven shows a day, extending screenings late into the night.
In Roi Roi Binale, Garg portrays a blind musician navigating the challenges of his art and life. The 146-minute film, directed by Rajesh Bhuyan, features 11 soulful tracks composed by Garg himself. Produced by Zubeen Garg, his wife Garima, and Shyamantak Gautam, the film stands as a poignant farewell to one of Assam’s most cherished cultural icons.
